After being beaten by Shinsuke Nakamura in the New Japan Cup final earlier this year, New Zealand’s Bad Luck Fale is out for revenge at tonight’s Dominion pay-per-view event.

Nakamura will defend his IWGP Intercontinental Championship against Fale in the main event of the evening, but for Fale the title is less important than the chance to avenge his loss.

“What’s on my mind is revenge,” he told reporters at a press conference on Thursday. “I don’t like losing. We had a great match last time, but I am determined to win this next match. This title match is second to what I really want. What I really want is to prove myself and win.”

The New Japan Cup final between Fale and Nakamura was extremely physical. Nakamura’s nose was broken mid-way through the contest, and Fale admitted he was severely hurt after being hit with Nakamura’s Boma Ye knee strike.

“It is very dangerous,” Fale said of the Boma Ye. “I’m trying not to take it again because I really felt it in the last match we had. After the New Japan Cup I couldn’t eat for a week because my jaw was so fucked up.”

With the loss still fresh in his mind, and the IWGP Intercontinental Championship as an added incentive to win, Fale promises Nakamura will be facing a different man to the one he defeated in March.

“I’ve been given this chance and I think this match you will see a different kind of Bad Luck Fale,” he said. “When he feels that Bad Luck Fall, when he hits the floor, then he knows it’s real.”

If Fale is able to win tonight at Dominion, his Bullet Club stable will hold both major singles titles in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, as AJ Styles is the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

Doc Gallows and “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson hold the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, while The Young Bucks are the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. Both teams will defend their titles at Dominion tonight.

NJPW Dominion is live tonight, June 21, from 8pm. The event is available on iPPV from Ustream at a cost of $25 USD ($28.75 NZD).
