140829_rivalturfThe turf war between The Investment and The Origin comes to a head tomorrow night in IPW’s signature double-ring spectacular.

Rival Turf will be the battleground on which The Investment and The Origin finally collide in a 12-man Capture the Flag contest.

IPW Director Daniel Burnell’s Investment side will be headed up by IPW Champion Fury. Joining him: Aaron Henry, Curt Chaos, Jakob Cross, Pat Schisk, and Vinny Dunn.

Opposite The Investment will be the bricks and mortar that built IPW, The Origin.

Alfred Valentine captains his side alongside Alexander, James Shaw, “Pirate” Jason Burns, and the IPW Tag Team Champions, TnT.

Both sides have been at one another for months now, but will finally have the chance to decide a definitive winner in the double-ring match.

Each side will have a flag which they are to guard by any means necessary. The first team to take their rivals’ flag will pick up the win, and the all-important pride that comes with it.

Fury is scheduled to compete in two matches at Rival Turf. In addition to the Capture the Flag match, the IPW Champion defends his title for the first time against the man he stole it from, Travis Banks.

Banks, the former champ, is invoking his rematch clause after being blindsided by Fury and his IPW Eliminator title shot at Trial by Combat.

Fury took the win and the title when Banks wasn’t expecting a match, but will things go the same when the Peak of Perfection is fully prepared?

Also at Rival Turf, Britenay and Evie clash in a Falls Count Anywhere bout to determine the undisputed IPW Women’s Champion.

Both women can lay claim to the IPW Women’s Championship. Evie won the title at Nightmare Before Xmas 2013. However, in her four-month absence to compete for World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana in Japan and SHIMMER in the United States, Britenay was crowned Interim IPW Women’s Champion.

Since Evie’s return to New Zealand both women have refused to acknowledge the other as the IPW Womens’ Champion, leading to Rival Turf where both will face off to determine who can officially lay claim to being IPW’s top female competitor.

IPW Rival Turf takes place tomorrow, August 30, at the Lynfield Recreation Centre in Auckland. Doors open at 6.30pm with the first match scheduled to start at 7pm. Tickets are available on the door ($20 for adults, $10 for children). The card, subject to change, is listed below.
