WWE tag titles on the line in Auckland

170803_newdayTwo titles will be defended when WWE returns to Vector Arena on Wednesday, August 10.

The WWE Tag Team Championship is the latest title added to the event card. Reigning champs The New Day will defend against former Wyatt Family members Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan.

Big E Langston, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods recently made history as the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions. The trio surpassed the previous record set by Brian Kendrick and Paul London in 2006.

It is not known which two members of The New Day will defend against Rowan and Strowman.

August 10 marks the first time the WWE Tag Team Championship has been defended in New Zealand since July 2011, when David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty retained their titles against Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov.

WWE Live will also feature a match for the United States Championship between Rusev and Titus O’Neil.
