Raw: Undertaker confronts Lesnar and Goldberg
Only Goldberg was expected at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion took to the ring to reveal which title he’s seeking at WrestleMania 33.
“In San Antonio at The Alamodome, there’ll be 29 other competitors that’ll be gunning for the same thing that I’m gunning for,” Goldberg said, “and that is to earn an opportunity at either Kevin Owens or Roman Reigns. Now, let it be known that I will stop at nothing to obtain that WWE Universal Championship. I will stop at nothing, and if it means I have to Spear and Jackhammer 29 guys that’s what I’m going to do.”
Of course, one of those 29 other competitors is Brock Lesnar. With Paul Heyman leading the way, Lesnar made a surprise appearance to confront Goldberg for the first time since his shock defeat at Survivor Series 2016.
Heyman announced Lesnar’s arrival: “Behold, Mr Goldberg, the instrument of your demise.”
Before Goldberg and Lesnar could revisit their Survivor Series main event, the lights in the Quicken Loans Arena went out. When they came back on, The Undertaker had arrived.
All three WWE Superstars sized each other up in a tense, historic standoff for the ages. Goldberg, Lesnar, and The Undertaker will next share a ring at WWE Royal Rumble, live on Sky Arena and WWE Network from 1pm (NZDT) on Monday, January 30.
