For over seven years, Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar has been the feud that defines WWE.

Now, for likely the last time, they clash over the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Last Man Standing Match.

Reigns vs. Lesnar headlines SummerSlam at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. New Zealanders can watch the premium live event streaming exclusively on WWE Network.

Lesnar and Reigns first crossed paths at WrestleMania 31 where the dominant Lesnar introduced Reigns and the rest of the world to Suplex City.

After battles at WrestleMania 34 and across the globe in Saudi Arabia, their on-again, off-again rivalry picked up once more at SummerSlam 2021.

Reigns had just defeated John Cena in the first full-scale event post-WWE ThunderDome. What should have been his biggest moment yet was overshadowed by Lesnar’s return to the WWE Universe.

Hellbent on reclaiming the Universal Championship, Lesnar pursued Reigns all the way to the main event of WrestleMania 38. The Tribal Chief dethroned Lesnar to retain his title and take the WWE Championship in the process.

Now, at SummerSlam, Reigns attempts to fend Lesnar off once more, but this time under Last Man Standing rules. Whoever emerges from Nashville as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion will have to leave their opponent incapacitated for a count of 10, and definitively bring and end to their rivalry once and for all.

* * *

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Last Man Standing:
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar

AJ Murtagh (75% accurate):
The Tribal Chief has been unstoppable for years now and, as formidable as Lesnar is, Reigns has the momentum to end this long-running feud on top.
Winner: Roman Reigns

David Dunn (50% accurate):
Statistics favour Roman Reigns – he’s got more wins against Brock Lesnar, and they’re more recent. Factor in The Usos and how they could be involved under Last Man Standing rules, and I’m leaning Reigns.
Winner: Roman Reigns

Grady Hooker (50% accurate):
Roman Reigns has stopped The Beast Incarnate multiple times. Even if it is Last Man Standing, I think he can do it again.
Winner: Roman Reigns

Sammy G (50% accurate):
These men know each other well and, with the stakes as big as they are, I have high hopes this is going to be brutal! I’m anticipating some shenanigans will leave Brock down for the 10 count and give Roman the W.
Winner: Roman Reigns

SmackDown Women’s Championship:
Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey

AJ:
I think this could go either way. Ronda is the favourite but I feel like Liv is just getting started. Maybe I’m being hopeful but I see Liv retaining.
Winner: Liv Morgan

David:
Ronda Rousey works best with a training camp. When she tore through the women’s bantamweight division in the UFC, Ronda knew her challengers often months ahead of the fight. Liv Morgan surprised the Baddest Woman on the Planet at Money in the Bank but Ronda knows exactly who she’s preparing for at SummerSlam.
Winner: Ronda Rousey

Grady:
Liv Morgan was my wild pick to win Money in the Bank, so why not keep the wild coming? I have faith that she can beat Ronda Rousey, somehow…
Winner: Liv Morgan

Sammy:
Liv may have won in opportunistic fashion, but this is her chance to fight and prove herself as a champion! I know Ronda won’t hold back, so this will be a hell of a match.
Winner: Liv Morgan

Raw Women’s Championship:
Bianca Belair (c) vs. Becky Lynch

AJ:
I guess this is technically the rubber match? Becky pulled off a shocking victory at SummerSlam last year but Bianca seems to have her number. That said, I’m gonna shake it up…
Winner Becky Lynch

David:
With the memory of last year’s SummerSlam embarrassment in the back of her mind, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Bianca Belair take Becky Lynch out in under 30 seconds this time around.
Winner: Bianca Belair

Grady:
Bianca Belair has been on a roll and Becky Lynch has struggled of late. This seems like a forgone conclusion – very different to their clash last year.
Winner: Bianca Belair

Sammy:
This is a SummerSlam rematch I’m looking forward to seeing! This time Bianca will be ready, and we know she can hold her own against “Big Time Becks”.
Winner: Bianca Belair

United States Championship:
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Theory

AJ:
I think Theory is stuck in his own head after the beatings and tongue lashings he received this week on Raw. Lashley will pull this out but I’m curious about how the rest of Theory’s night will go…
Winner: Bobby Lashley

David:
I saw their match at Money in the Bank, I know how this goes.
Winner: Bobby Lashley

Grady:
Theory is Mr Money in the Bank and that has him distracted. And it would take a very focused Theory to have even a small chance to beat Bobby Lashley.
Winner: Bobby Lashley

Sammy:
As much as Theory would love to be US Champ again, that briefcase holds a ticket to greater things. If he can beat Lashley, what’s stopping him from going further?
Winner: Theory

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship:
The Usos (c) vs. The Street Profits [Special Referee: Jeff Jarrett]

AJ:
The Usos have proven themselves to be the dominant force in WWE’s tag team division as undisputed champions. The Street Profits have proven to be formidable foes for the champions but I see the Usos pulling out the win; likely under questionable circumstances.
Winners: The Usos

David:
Jeff Jarrett has a lot on his plate this weekend! As interesting an addition as he is, The Usos know how to come through in the clutch when it matters the most.
Winners: The Usos

Grady:
It doesn’t matter who the special guest referee is, The Usos are the best tag team in the world and it will take more than The Street Profits to stop their reign.
Winners: The Usos

Sammy:
I was excited to see this rematch already, but Double J as special ref has me amped! Ain’t he great? You damn right he is! And he’s gonna call it right down the middle. Maybe a misplaced guitar shot could see the end of The Street Profits, and the continued reign(s) of The Usos…
Winners: The Usos
