WWE Fastlane 2023 predictions, preview – NZPWI Roundtable

For the first time since WrestleMania 39, John Cena competes on a premium live event at WWE Fastlane.

Widely considered to be the GOAT (Greatest of All Time), Cena will join forces with rising megastar LA Knight to tussle with Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline.

Cena confronted Jimmy Uso on SmackDown at the start of September. “The wrong Uso quit,” Cena told Jimmy.

When Jimmy became physical, Cena’s Attitude Adjustment ended the confrontation and set things in motion for the Fastlane main event.

Can the 16-time world champ and LA Knight work together to further exploit the cracks in The Bloodline? Or will Jimmy and Solo Sikoa pull off what many would consider an upset against WWE’s GOAT?

Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa vs. John Cena & LA Knight

Grady Hooker (81% accurate in 2023):
The Bloodline is getting weaker as the days go on, and they don’t even send out their strongest member as a part of a tag team match where one of your opponents is John Cena? An easy win for Cena and Knight.

AJ Murtagh (68% accurate in 2023):
You can never underestimate The Bloodline but I’m not sure they’re as unified as they would like us to believe. Cena and Knight are an untested commodity but there’s a level of respect and trust there that I think will carry them to victory.

David Dunn (68% accurate in 2023):
The Bloodline is fractured, and John Cena is the GOAT – never mind the run LA Knight is on right now. A lot would have to go wrong for Cena and Knight to wind up in the losers’ column.

The Bloodline isn’t the perfect unit it once was, and Roman’s nowhere to be seen. So if you’re going up against the Megastar and the GOAT, well… if you’re not on your A-game, you’re not getting the W.
