-WWE will be moving NXT to Florida, combined with their developmental company Florida Championship Wrestling for its own tapings beginning Thursday, May 17 at 7 PM.

The tapings will be at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida (near Orlando) at the Full Sail Live gym. Tickets will be free for FSU staff and students with ID, as long as they reserve in advance. There hasn't been any word on how much it costs for the general public.

The tapings will be called "WWE Superstar Showdown". They are being moved to better mix developmental talent into NXT. There is also the hope that the University setting can have better crowd reactions and give FCW TV a "grander" look than the FCW Arena in Tampa. NXT will have more attention instead of being secondary to the Smackdown tapings.

HHH is the one behind the move and will be hands-on with the shows. He is a fan of the venue after he and several other company executives visited it last year, including Kevin Dunn and Stephanie McMahon.

WWE filmed several pilots at the venue and signed an exclusivity deal to stop any other wrestling-related events from being held there. Full Sail is an entertainment media university that has state-of-the-art production facilities.

Triple H will be on the first taping, which will have Sheamus vs Alberto Del Rio and R-Truth & Kofi Kingston vs Epico & Primo.

Here are the dates:

May 17, 2012
June 14, 2012
July 5, 2012
July 19, 2012
August 9, 2012
August 23, 2012
September 6, 2012
September 20, 2012

SPOILERS:

July 8th

3. The Re-Match: Dean Ambrose & William Regal went to a no contest after excessive bleeding by Regal and officials stopped the match.

- After the match, Ambrose attacked all the wrestlers & referees who came out and tried to help Regal, then applied the Regal Stretch on one of them while Regal applauded him. Ambrose then hit another one with the Knee Trembler to close things out.

Sweet. Wonder if the will mean an alliance with Ambrose and Regal on WWE TV.

Also allows for a decent storyline to start on WWE Superstar Showdown aka. NXT

- This week's episode of NXT had William Regal and Josh Matthews revealing during the first match that the new season of NXT will premiere next week. There was a commercial with footage from the Full Sail tapings. The next Full Sail taping is Thursday.

New NXT is probably going to be the only WWE show I'll watch in full now. I like that it looks different, with new talent not working full on "WWE style". I did still fast forward Joe Hennig's match because he's awful.

I wouldn't call him terrible, but I wouldn't believe that he was actually Curt Hennig's son.

Ascension should be on the main roster already based on appearance alone.

Bo Dallas Rotundo done nothing for me.

Yea he seemed a little cheesy.

Really did like the Ascension. something unique, had a Brood vibe to it. Feel sorry for the opponents tonight, does not mean good things if you have a jobber entrance in a development show.

Have not seen main event will tonight heard good things.

Bring on Rollins next week!

I think I would like Ascension if I could forget about that one guy's rat gimmick in old NXT. He's just going to always be the rat guy to me.

I might have to set this up to record, i'd given up on NXT but i've read a few people praising the new format on FB. I caught it briefly last night, had a lol that the WWE development show has a TNA Impact vibe.

They had jobber entrances even before NXT so that's saying something...

Alot of these guys, I had been following prior to NXT starting so it's good to see the upcoming guys do their thing...

For those who haven't watched FCW and are relatively new... the people I suggest who haven't debuted yet are of course Rollins and Kassius Ohno (Chris Hero for the n00bs) and Bray Wyatt (Husky Harris new gimmick, picture Waylon Mercy and you kinda got the picture...) and Paige (Who I believe is only 19 but is a sure fire diva to watch in the WWE system)

The only qualm I have with the show was not WWE's fault actually.... The BOX decided it was fun to exclude the two awesome hype packages for the Ascension and Bray Wyatt.... WHY?! :x

Yeah, torn pec, gone for 6 months.

Hope he doesn't lose too much momentum 'cos Bray Wyatt has superstar potential. Even William Regal said so!

I'm just going to put it out there... but I was really impressed by Drew McIntyre in last night's NXT. To me, McIntyre's originally suffered by being pushed beyond his abilities, and then being dropped like a hot potato when the push, unsurprisingly, failed.

But this week on NXT he reminded me of the stuff we used to see on Superstars. He's strong, vicious, resourceful, able to take a beating from faster, quicker opponents and, come out on top through guile and intelligence as well as a bit of smart wrestling.

His core character is sound, he needs a gimmick and push that suits it.
