Just watched a pretty interesting documentary. It's called The Bridge, and it's about the attraction of the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco as a spot for suicides, apparently it has the highest number of any location in the world. A film crew filmed the bridge for the whole of 2004 and caught 23 of the 24 suicides that year on film.

The whole thing is on youtube if anyone is interested. Just be aware that there is actual footage of people jumping off the bridge and also their last moments before they jump. Very surreal stuff. A lot of time is dedicated to talking to the victims close ones as well and it makes you think a lot about these peoples possible states of mind.

When I was there in 2007 (I think) there was a jumper - but the locals around us kinda just blew it off as an annoyance.

Must be a pretty good last view though.... even if it was foggy as the day we were there.

Oh, and I watched The Grey...which I cant figure if the ending was brilliant or fucking lame. The movies pretty dour though...and seemed to affect me a bit more now that I have a kid (will make sense if you watch it...).

Still Liam Neeson is badass.

I kinda want to watch The Bridge, but I think it'd be pretty disturbing. I took a photo of one of the many signs on the bridge warning people not to jump...I remember the wording was really strange.

Holy fuck Prometheus is the worst fucking piece of shit my eyes have ever had to witness. I want to cut off my hands for passing my money over the counter to watch that. OMG I don't even know how someone let alone Ridley Scott makes a movie that bad.

I hated The Grey, but now I'm convinced Ridley Scott has gone retarded in his old age.

I started to watch The Grey but then stopped. I'll finish it eventually.

My mate rented out this movie for tonight, called Project X or something...

I feel this way about Red State. What the actual fuck was that piece of shit movie?

I also finally watched Moneyball, which was really very good. Although I'm not sure why Jonah Hill got an Oscar nom...he's barely in the film.

I enjoyed Moneyball but had no clue what was happening through out some parts.

There were whole scenes where Brad Pitt talked real fast into a phone and somehow Baseball happened. Which was too weird.

Watched 30 Minutes or Less last night, which was nice dumb fun. Danny Mcbride gave yet another version of Kenny Powers which would have pissed me off as being totally lazy, if it wasn't funny.

Haha - I remember saying to the Mrs 'I wish I could wheel and deal like that'.

I had a vague understanding of Baseball stats - so it wasn't too confusing to me...but I could imagine how it would be with all the .236 averages etc.

Watched Moneyball. I'm not much of a Baseball fan but I found it intriguing enough that I wasn't bored at any point. I find the whole trading players thing weird though. So random players just get traded to different teams wily nily throughout the season? Or was that just movie exaggeration? Ending was kinda anticlimactic.

Also, watched The Vow. Is it wrong that I liked this movie and didn't think Channing Tatum was a charisma black hole? Liked the ending too.

Just saw The Amazing Spiderman tonight in 3D, really enjoyed it.

I'll tell you what I didn't enjoy, that trailer for Total Recall, looks like the sequel to Minority Report, with none of the awesomeness of the Ahnuld version.
