i find All Star Batman to be one giant WTF? every time. And i'm almost certain that when Jim Lee made the claim that it was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek, that it was just in response to everybody hating on it (it was at least the 4th issue before he dropped this nugget of info) and to this day he himself has no idea what Frank Miller is doing. Especially after The Spirit.

So, i too love the art. But the story makes no sense. The first issue with the Joker started off really well & i started to get into it...and then suddenly he had a female helper wearing nothing except Swastika pasties on the nipples. Ew.

The cackling 'god-damn' Batman is by far the worst character in it...with the exception of the scene where Gordon said 'god damn' over seven times.

Nobody that buys it at the store actually likes it, they buy it because they feel they should because of Frank/Lee....which says a whole bunch of weird things about people.

living by the razorblade romance it sure will get you all cut up.

I'm having the problem of every time i meet some one i am in to it seems to fall apart for one reason or another and when i meet some one who i'm not that in to things seem to go fine (as i'm terrible at letting people know i'm not in to them and have a bad habit of kind of leading people on - yes i know i am a terrible person and right douche. But its more i don't want to hurt people or that i want back ups)

Lol fair enough, but then again its all kinda different when you're an adult I think. Seriously, whos met someone who was in a relationship since they were 15 and got married and stayed that way =/ i think that would be impossible.

I have, but then most of them are from different cultures, where its more common.

But no its not very common in todays society, some would say they wouldn't recommend it as you should try around first but i'm like fuck it if your happy who cares. Although i do suggest if you have been in a relationship for a while to enjoy being single (although once again unless someone comes and sweeps you off your feet). I don't even know what my point is anymore maybe its to just let go and see where life takes you.

I overheard a hilarious conversation when getting my hair cut a few weeks back – I just remembered.

The guy getting his hair cut was asking how the hairdresser’s family were doing. He commented that his sister just got married, and he was disappointed he wasn’t there (Iraq) to see. The haircutee said congrats etc, and ask if it was to a local boy… The response was – “Oh no, she married my cousin.”

The response was priceless. You could tell he was thinking ‘oh what the fuck’… but only managed to say ‘nice, cool’.

I loled.

We should totally hang out. I agree with the Joker bit, I was thinking - 'hey this'll be fun' but then old Nazi tits shows up. Random.

I got the TPB for Xmas, so thankfully I spent no money on this at all. I should try reading it again to see if its one of those 'gets better when you know what to expect' deals - but Im not sure I can handle reading 'Dick Grayson, 12 years old' a thousand times.

On a slightly related note - I read a TPB called Joker (by Brian someone...Azerello??) end of last year - very cool.

That useage of they would be correct if EMIKO wished to keep the gender of her ex a secret.

And, hey, if lil' 'miko does girls, so what?

  It's funny that the hairdresser was so open about it...did they not realise that people would find that a wee bit odd?

Brian Azarello, yeah. Cool, i heard it was really good but all our copies were sealed. There's an avid Batman customer who is probably gonna lend it to me so i can read it. Am quite looking forward to it.

I don't know if people watch this, but it's on TV2 around 3:20... anyways its a New Zealand show about a bunch of blocks doing random shit..

Now I know it's meant to be a educational program for kids but bloody hell, if I was either drunk or if someone was drunk or stoned or on drugs, that show would be like the funniest shit of all...
