Hi everyone. Being the long-time lurker I am, I know a few of you out there have attended Wrestlemania before. I'm planning a trip to WM28 next year, and was wondering if any of you had advice and / or willing to share your experiences for a first time overseas flyer, including details about flights, WM packages and the like. Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Exciting! The packages are good in that your accommodation and tickets are all sorted. You probably pay a bit more than if you organised it yourself, but it's WAY less hassle.

Travel packages are the way to go, takes a lot of the stress off of getting a ticket for mania, axxess, hof etc. I am pretty sure the new packages also include RAW tickets. Hotels they pop you up in are good

SD, DG, ROH are easy enough to buy and most the time they are sent to NZ. SD and RAW tickets are usually just picked up at will call (at the venue) Just a reminder you will have to get up early for the on sale times.

As for the rest. Travel I got through expedia (internal flights). for traveling around the city etc ask the hotel for a chauffeur. I found this easier as they came right to the hotel and 90% of the time they will tell you the cost of going the destination so no surprise costs (tipping aside) also they will give you a business card to call them directly.

Can't think of anything else but will keep you informed as I am going next year too :)

A chauffeur? You're flash! We just slummed it on public transport, which was cheap and easy.

More just a car service, I used one in Miami, apparently they're cheaper than taxis with a flat fee (depending on destination).

Yep thats the one, flash cars though and good price. Actually a limo was cheaper then a taxi.

Thanks big time for the info guy much appreciated. Will definitely look into getting the package option. How did you find the seating with the packages, and which packages did you choose?

They are usalley Platinum (Ringside seats back til row 10 I think) , Gold (Row 10 onwards) and Silver (Not to certain). As for the tickets you basically find out when the package arrives.

They get cheaper the more people are in a group.

Gold last time, perfect seats. Depending on pricing may go Platinum this time.

Just caught that part reading over again. That's awesome! First time overseas flyer here as well, so admittedly this stuff is a tad intimidating. Sorry for being such a pain in the butt, but the help you guys have given me so far is a godsend, thanks again. The whole thing is starting to look more like a possibility and less of a pipe dream! :D

Thinking of heading over as part of a 2 month alcohol/drug enduced roadtrip in the States next year with a group of mates. We know quite a few people around the place so will be slumming it with them for the most part and hiring a car for the 2 month period.

Thanks for the info Jords, especially ticket info.

Me and a couple of work mates are thinking of doing the trip over next year,
Roughly how much for flights and the wrestlemania package would it be?

WMXVII Packages: (In USD$)

PLATINUM PACKAGE- $1800 dollars per person (RINGSIDE SEATS)
GOLD PACKAGE- $1200 dollars per person (FLOOR SEATS)
SILVER PACKAGE- $750 dollars per person (100 LEVEL SEATS)

All packages comes with a 4 night stay at a hotel, Wrestlemania AXXESS and HOF tickets, Monday night Raw Tickets, and of course Wrestlemania tickets.
The only thing you have to buy is the plane tickets. That is based on this year, last year was cheaper (and is cheaper if more then one of you are in the package) but did not include a RAW ticket. I paid $1600 for my flight. Right now is not a good time to get flight prices as they go down in price closer to the time.

Travel packages were not hard, it all went through WWEShop. RAW and SD I just woke up at the on sale time and bought them just like WWE tickets here. WWE has there own ticket site on Ticketmaster which you can sell and buy other peoples tickets (front row if your willing)

I think that's WAY less than what the WM25 packages were.
