Had an awesome mini-argument with the mother-in-law over the weekend. She comes in and straight up 'who are you voting for?'

I say National blah blah, then she goes on that shes voting for Act - when I say shes wasting her vote pretty much, shes all 'well no one else is giving me anything'.

Im pretty confident shes on 100k+ living a comfortable life, but she STILL expects the election to be a lolly scramble for her personally. Made me semi-rage - but had to hold back because political arguments never get anywhere. But yeah, retarded.

Anywho, my picks this week are that Winston won't get in, and Banks probably will. Brash to be gone by lunchtime.

Dunne isn't that bad but he needs to go, his views on a lot of social issues are just too outdated and cause us to go backwards. Your 'Common sense, family values' rhetoric got you in Dunne, but hopefully people can finally see through that, to the fact it means absolutely nothing.

I'm glad i'd consider myself more middle class and should hopefully have stability to get me and Wannabe through, because i know a lot of people are by the end of the next 3 years of national raping the under classes are going to be in a bad state.

Looking forward to the documentary tomorrow on child poverty in this country, which will only get worse as more and more pressure is put on poor families to prop up the incomes of rich farmers, business owners and the rest of the elite that run this country.
