Simple, the add on's simply aren't as good as Firefox for me atm, and i don't like the differences in look etc.

Firefox is slowly starting to become tilty laggy though.

Recommendations for a free file hosting service, anyone? They all seem much of a muchness (slow and annoying unless you pay) but maybe you've got one that works well for you.

Not wanting too much, just some hosting of ten or so files of around 100 - 200MB size.

Yes but you may have connection problems so best not to risk it.

Hmmmm, so somehow one of the flatmates managed to delete all the user profiles on the PS3 (which isn't mine, but I had my own profile with bunch of game save / trophies etc), is there any way to restore that data?

'Cos I'll be a very sad panda if not.

I'm looking to get rid of my CDMA phone before it becomes obsolete in a few months, and upgrade to a smartphone of some sort, on Telecom XT. Anyone recommend anything? Probably towards the bottom of the price range, but not a piece of crap either.

I'm going to have to correct you there Jimmy...

Regarding the phones thing, if you have for example, a 2degrees sim and buy a Vodafone or Telecom phone, you can put that sim in the phone, just change the settings so that the phone recieves the right connection, they all have on their websites ways on how to change the settings, it won't take long, usually about 5 minutes.

If your still stuck, the stores can help you do this when you buy your phone, usually for free.

In addition to Gunjacks post you may find that if you buy, for example a Vodafone phone and stick a 2degrees SIM in it the handset may be locked to the Vodafone network. Pretty easy to unlock it though either you can give Vodafone a call and get the code to unlock it (last I heard it was actually illegal for a company to lock handsets to their network in NZ, however I read something in NZHerald a couple of weeks ago which said the Commerce Comission (I think?) had given Vodafone the ok to to this now. Not sure if the law has changed?) OR you can go to one of these companies which fixes phones and they can unlock it for you OR if you're lucky you will be able to Google the information you want and do it at home yourself. Pretty sure these options void your phones warranty though so be careful if you fork out for a spency handset.
