Agree with you HL its a pre season friendly so most teams are trying out new players and giving the younger guys a game .You get odd results in these games I recall a week or so back Man City lost one to a team from Saudi Arabia.

Will note to the pitch looked very narrow though considering the game was at fenway and baseball season is going that would explain it.

So its seems one of King Kenny's brilliant signings (Andy Carroll) is on the outer, I'm genuinely intrigued to see what Brendan Rodgers has in store. '

RVP is as good as gone, I'm sure the club will survive without him . Would rather he goes to Juventus then to a rival like Manure/Citeh. Im expecting big things from Podolski/Giroud. Only concern is Arsene hasn't recruited anyone on D.

I'll give my two cents on each of these one at a time.

*I'm thinking Andy Carroll more or less is going but weather its on loan or permant we'll see.West Ham wanted him on loan but aprantly he wasn't intrested dispite it looking like a done deal .Newcastle are intrested to I've noted.

*How will liverpool go under Brendon Rodgers well they'll play nice stuff and be attacking though I'm still thinking at the back there's a lingering doubt in my mind about their back 4 . I'll say they'll be in the top 6 and have a good Europa league run but no champions league yet.

*RVP is gone but when I'm thinking unless Arsenal get a offer they can't refuse more likely he goes at the end of the season or in Januray Window.And yep be concerned that still Arsenal have not signed one or two experinced defenders which is what they need.

*Lastly on the Cahill comments on the A league that would be about right as I recall he said something similur on that Aussies Abroard specail ESPN had with him.The A League isn;t the worst league around its just the depth and strength isn't up their with the likes of a J league and K league respectivly as they'd be the nearest league to compare.Still give it time and hopefully no more teams dropping out and the standard will hopefully get better.

If Andy Carroll does goes..I think it would be a mistake..he was just coming right near the end of last season and personally I would like to see him given at least one more season to show what we all know he is capable of.

The season is getting so close I can smell it..Liverpool have their first Europa league qualifying game against FC Gomel this Thursday (UK Time) and Andy Carroll has been named in the squad.

Just think everyday that these godawful olympics goes on is one day closer to the premier league kicking off!!

Agree when I read the article mentioning it I thought it sounded bad being seeing the tackle on replay last few days I'm with you on it HL in that its a foul but not the nasty tackle some have made it out to be.
