This week in Gimme Five we take a look back at Extreme Rules - how did the show stack up?
We also debate the future for Ryback, on the back of his latest ppv loss. Does he even have a future? We also look at the newest NZWPW Champion, James Shaw - what kind of champ will he be?
"Smark" - known throughout the industry as the term for a "smart mark" - how would we define it these days? And are we smarks?
Glad to have you with us for this week's edition of Gimme Five. Write Comment (0 comments) |

New NZWPW Champion James Shaw will defend his championship for the first time in a triple threat match at NZWPW Over the Top.
Shaw, who won the title from Johnny Idol in an "I Quit" match at Ngaio Evolution, will face both former champ Idol and number one contender Liam Fury in Wainuiomata on Saturday, June 1.
Also scheduled for Over the Top, "That Young Warrior" Paul Sayers and a partner of his choice will challenge The Circus of Tragedy for NZWPW's tag team titles.
The main event of the evening will be a 20-man battle royal with the winner earning an NZWPW Championship match at Power Play X. |

Brock Lesnar avenged his WrestleMania
29 loss to Triple H with a big victory inside a steel cage at Extreme Rules.
Things have grown increasingly personal between Lesnar and
Triple H over the past few months, with Lesnar breaking the WWE COO's arm and
destroying his office in Stanford, Connecticut, in the lead-up to yesterday's
pay-per-view.
As such, Triple H attacked Lesnar during the former UFC
Heavyweight Champion's entrance in an attempt to gain one last advantage before
entering the cage.
Lesnar was caught off guard temporarily and slammed to the
mat with a spinebuster but it didn't take long for Brock to do what he does
best and begin to fling Triple H about the cage.
Triple H caught a lucky break when Lesnar attempted what
could have been a knockout knee strike and connected with the cage instead of
Triple H, damaging his knee in the process. |

It's the one night of the year when WWE goes extreme, and Extreme Rules is live on pay-per-view today.
John Cena and Ryback clash over the WWE Championship in a Last Man Standing match. Can Ryback's hunger be satisfied with the WWE Championship? Will Cena feed Ryback another loss?
Brock Lesnar and Triple H have a WrestleMania 29 rematch inside a steel cage. Alberto Del Rio meets Jack Swagger in an "I Quit" bout that will earn the winner a World Heavyeight Championship match. Dean Ambrose wrestles Kofi Kingston for the United States Championship.
Who's tipped for greatness, and who will suffer extreme failure live on pay-per-view? Join the NZPWI Roundtable as we break down the card for Extreme Rules. |

Miz TV returned this week on SmackDown, and immediately resulted in
complete and utter chaos.
The popular talk show was originally meant to be with guests of Big Show and Randy Orton. Before the
WWE Universe knew it, another four men had entered themselves onto the show,
resulting in Teddy Long making a bumper main event: Randy Orton, Sheamus,
and Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger, Big Show, and Mark Henry. |

James Shaw is the new NZWPW Champion after forcing Johnny
Idol to surrender in an "I Quit" match with the title on the line in last night's
main event.
Shaw would be in for an uphill battle at Ngaio Evolution after "Rufguts" Roddy
Gunn - former stablemate of both Shaw and the NZWPW Champion - jumped the
challenger to Idol's NZWPW title during his entrance.
Gunn choked Shaw out with the straps of his own singlet and
dished out a Rufdriver before Johnny Idol made his way to the ring to begin the
match.
Idol kept the pressure on Shaw and brawled through the crowd
with his challenger before bouncing Shaw's head off a piano in the corner of
the Ngaio Town Hall.
Back in the ring, Idol slowed the pace of the match right
down with a chinlock designed to squeeze the last bit of energy out of Shaw
before forcing him to quit. |

The Shield has once
again caused havoc this week on Main
Event. After interfering in a match between Kane and Seth Rollins, The Usos
would rush to the ring in support.
With his Shield
teammates ringside, Seth Rollins was under the pump early as the experience of
Kane showed, the Big Red Monster not daunted by the presence of a team which
has rolled through everyone in WWE recently. Kane grounded Rollins with
uppercuts and body drops, achieving the first near fall of the bout. Kane used
the ring corners to his advantage, before setting up a Tombstone Piledriver.
Rollins countered out
of trouble and quickly left the ring to catch a break. |
