WWA The Reckoning (May 2003)

World Wrestling Allstars came to Auckland in May 2003 and blew the roof of the North Shore Events Centre! Jeff Jarrett put his NWA World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Sting's WWA World Championship in a memorable night's action!

NWA:TNA champion Jeff Jarrett defeated WWA champion Sting to unify the titles in the main event at WWA Reckoning this Sunday night. A short series of run-ins involving Joe E. Legend and a swerving Rick Steiner saw Jarrett claim victory in the first ever pay-per-view ever to be filmed in New Zealand.

In what may have been his WWA swansong, Sting wowed the crowd with his trademark Stinger Splash and Scorpion Deathlock before the short spate of interferences that cost him his WWA championship.

Earlier on in the night Sting made a surprise appearance atop a scaffold high above the arena to lay down the challenge to Jeff Jarrett. Later on, Jarrett replied via the video screens.

WWA The Reckoning hits Auckland this Sunday!

For the first time in over a decade, international pro-wrestling action hits New Zealand this Sunday, as World Wrestling All-Stars present WWA The Reckoning live from the North Shore Events Centre!

And, for the first time in almost 20 years, a World Heavyweight Championship match will be decided right here in New Zealand, as WWA World Champion Sting battles NWA World Champion, Jeff Jarrett in a title unification match up! Pro-wrestling legend, Bret "Hitman" Hart will act as special referee for the all important bout!

Also on the show, Sabu takes on Shane Douglas in an Extreme Rules match! Sabu has thrilled fans the world over with his unique mix of graceful violence, and now New Zealand fans get to witness it in the flesh!

Reckoning card officially announced

WWA today released the official card for The Reckoning event to be held in Auckland on May 25. At this stage, ticket sales for the event have been slow, with not even half the arena sold out yet.

If you haven't bought your tickets yet, buy now! The Reckoning really needs to be a sell out for WWA to return in the future.
