Butch Miller appeared on News Talk ZB this afternoon to discuss the new New Zealand promotion KPW.

Butch started by mentioning how impressed he was at the professional look of the new promotion and followed on to discuss the difference between the old and new generation, Specifically mentioned the level of teaching that KPW workers will be getting from the likes of Rip Morgan, Bob Crozier and Bruno Becker.

Butch went as far to say that KPW is the most professional promotion to emerge in New Zealand in the last 20 years. Miller said he felt KPW is successfully being able to combine the experience of the old generation and the new generation talents. He also discussed the change in style from the monsters in his day to the smaller grapplers of today.

KPW’s national debut and TV taping proved fortuitous for H - Flame as he plowed through 3 men to claim the number 1 contender ship and booked himself into the finals of the KPW Heavyweight tournament on July 21st.

H – Flame overcame the massive Max Damage in the quarter finals after sneaking a quick roll up on the behemoth after Jeremiah’s interference backfired. As he rolled on to the semi finals H – Flame was set to meet longtime rival Jonnie Juice. Both men gave it everything they had. Juice was quick to utilize Hollie and Jessie of Team Pretty to distract the referee but even that wasn’t enough as H – Flame was able to nail The Nuke (Code Red) out of nowhere for a 3 count.

H – Flame had now booked himself a spot in the finals against The Ram in a lumberjack match. As the bell rang both men tore into each other with fury. Ram looked to take the early advantage with a series of arm bars and leg locks. The raucous crowd rallied behind H – Flame as Ram threw him to the outside and pulled referee Charlie Roberts across the ring as Jonnie Juice, Max Damage, D Money and Jeremiah tore into H – Flame.
