Bringing Down the House 4 saw Adam Avalanche put his Championship on the line against CD in an epic main event match. Unfortunately, despite CD’s best efforts Avalanche crushed the young challenger, and held on to the New Zealand Championship. Before the match officially got underway, both men found out just where they stood with the packed crowd, with CD easily being the fan favourite. Avalanche soon proved he didn’t need crowd support though, hoisting CD onto his shoulder and bringing him down to the canvas with an Oklahoma Slam. Adam remained in control, and used his size to his advantage when he locked CD in an excruciating chinlock. CD battled out of it with the support of the fans, and attempted to use his speed advantage to take Avalanche off his vertical base, by going for a cross body. Avalanche’s mass proved to be too much for CD though, and Adam caught the aspiring young American Footballer, and slammed him to the mat. The Champion applied another chinlock, which he than changed to a sleeper hold. A fading CD received the fan support he needed to get back into the match again, and made it up to his feet. CD may have been better off to stay in the sleeper hold though, for as soon as he got to his feet, Adam Avalanche charged at him and caught him with a Stinger Splash in the corner. With CD down, Avalanche took the time to remove the turnbuckle protective padding, and dragged CD back to the corner. With the defenceless challenger backed up against the steel turnbuckles, Adam looked to inflict more punishment with a charging knee. Suddenly, CD came to his senses, and managed to roll out of the way, causing Avalanche to drive himself straight into the unprotected turnbuckles! CD seized this opportunity, and began viciously kicking away at Adam’s knee, but was still unable to take Avalanche down. Eventually, CD went back to his American Football roots, and bounced off the ropes to chop-block the back of the behemoth’s knee, finally taking him to the canvas. CD was unable to keep his advantage though, and when he tried for a submission hold on the Champion’s leg, Avalanche kicked CD off, sending him falling through the ropes to the outside. A resilient CD climbed back into the ring, and walked straight into a huge Sidewalk Slam, leaving him down and out. Avalanche made the cover, put broke his own pinfall at 2, saying “It’s only over when I say it’s over!”. The broken cover was a new breath of life for CD, who managed to get Adam Avalanche in a Brock Lock, which lead to the Champion’s shoulders being on the mat, earning CD a near fall. Avalanche battled out of it and the two men exchanged offensive moves yet again. Eventually CD brought Adam down again, and hit 3 Silent elbows, impressing NZWPW’s commentator for the evening - “Silencer” Jean Miracle. In the closing moments of the match, CD appeared to be on the verge of victory, attempting two spear tackles, and finally taking Avalanche to the mat with the third. Having blasted Adam with almost everything in his arsenal, CD tried to hoist the big man to his shoulders for a DVD. Avalanche’s weight was just too much for CD to handle though, and the turnbuckle became a more appealing option. CD took Avalanche to the corner, and began to hit him with rights and lefts. However, with senior official Roneel briefly distracted, Avalanche hit CD with a low blow, and then hoisted the wounded challenger up for a huge Powerbomb for the victory. After the match was over, “Silencer” Jean Miracle climbed into the ring, ready to deliver his anticipated apology. Miracle thought it over, and decided to apologise to Adam Avalanche... for not hitting him with a steel chair last month at Double Destruction. Miracle then went as far as to challenge Adam for the Championship right there and then! Before Avalanche could respond, D-Hoya made his way to the ring, and claimed that he was the rightful owner of the belt, and as such, should get the first shot at Avalanche. Hoya berated the Champion, comparing him to a marshmallow man, prompting Avalanche to warn D-Hoya not to bother facing him, unless he wanted to be covered in white stuff. As all three men exchanged insults, Adam Avalanche finally decided he didn’t want to defend his title against either, which prompted a brawl to erupt. SJM took down Adam with a series of high dropkicks, but then fell victim to an End of D-World. With D-Hoya seemingly coming out on top of this altercation, Adam Avalanche bounced the NZWPW Title off his head, and was the last man standing at the conclusion of the event.
