IPW Rival Turf double ring spectacular!
Nov 26, 2009 at 02:50 PM

091126_rivalIt’s double the rings and double the trouble this weekend at IPW Rival Turf in a huge two ring spectacular event, featuring a massive main event that pits IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Champion “The Professional” Joseph Kinkade in a two out of three falls match against Xtreme Superstar “Double D” Davey Deluxeo!

The Xtreme Superstars and Kinkade’s entourage have come to heads over the past few months as only two rival groups with polar opposite attitudes can.  And it’s all set to explode in a huge two out of three matches, with Double D representing the Xtreme Superstars!

Deluxeo has been out of the title picture for quite some time, but as a three-time former IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Champion he has all the pedigree needed to step into the ring and keep pace with the fierce intensity of Joseph Kinkade.

Kinkade has stepped up another notch since he defeated “The Deal” Dal Knox for the championship, and has proven that his in-ring skills are more than a match for most men, added in with the deviant tactics of his entourage, Gary O. Davis and Mischa Ivanoff, he’s going to be a hard man to beat.

Will it be another victory for The Professional, or could Davey Deluxeo become the first four-time IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Champion at Rival Turf?

And, the hugely popular Double Ring Capture the Flag match is back again this year, and this time it’s Team NZ vs. Team Switzerland!

The intense rivalry between “The Deal” Dal Knox and “The Ex-Patriot” Alfred Valentine spills over into a double ring spectacular at Rival Turf, which will see both men collect compatriots to join their teams to compete for their country and for bragging rights!

Team Knox will consist of “The Deal” Dal Knox, “The One” Vinny Dunn, Dils Deluxeo, Kazuki and one member yet to be named, while Team Valentine will be made up of Alfred Valentine, The Antagonist, Flagboy and Saint Chaos!

Each team will have a ring, and in that ring they will have a flag representing their count.  The team to get both flags into their ring and their corner will be victorious.  If last years madness is anything to go by, this match will be a true spectacular!

“The Deal” Dal Knox has been under an injury cloud of late, is he pushing himself too far too fast and risking permanent injury?  Or will now be the time for revenge against Alfred Valentine at last?

Also, in a tag team action will be perennially popular Pirates and Ninjas Are Totally Awesome will be in action against The New Vogue’s “Handsome” Danny Jacobs and reluctant New Vogue member A Class.

A Class was tricked into signing his career over to the New Vogue a couple of month’s ago, so will his lack of willingness direct the result of the match?  Will Pirates and Ninjas get back the Top Team Tag Tournament prize money that was stolen from them last month, or will the New Vogue get the victory and claim the prize money for their own?

And, in singles action “The One” Vinny Dunn will contend with Mischa Ivanoff, but he’ll also have to deal with Joseph Kinkade and Gary O. Davis at ringside as well, and with the numbers in play, will this be a shock victory for Ivanoff?  Or will Dunn overcome the odds and take the win?

And, newcomer Kazuki is set to battle the “Strong Style Superhero” Liger in a singles match.  Liger has had a new attitude and a dangerous glint in his eye of late, and he’ll be looking to take out some of his attitude on Kazuki in the most punishing way possible!

Also, in a huge tag team match, Les West and “Wrestling’s Most Wanted” Lil T will team up to take on IPW Australia’s Ashe and Skhorn.   These two men have dominated the scene in Australia with their in-ring skills and frightening visages.  They’ll be looking to do the same here in NZ, and bring home a victory on foreign shores.

Will it be the dark power of Skhorn and Ashe that win them the victory on the day, or will the NZ representatives from out west, Les West and Lil T give the Aussie wrestler’s a trip home the hard way!

Catch all the action this Saturday, November 28th from 7pm (doors open 6.30pm) at the Lynfield Recreation Centre on Griffen Park Road, Lynfield, Auckland. Tickets are available at the door for $15 Adults, $8 Children (13 and under) with under 5s free.
