Written by NZPWI Roundtable

TNA Sacrifice is live on pay-per-view this Monday, with Rob Van Dam challenging TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode in the main event.

The tag team titles are on the line when Magnus & Samoa Joe defend against Daniels & Kazarian; AJ Styles meets Kurt Angle; Jeff Hardy takes on Mr Anderson; and more.

Join the NZPWI Roundtable as we break down the card for TNA Sacrifice.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship:

Bobby Roode (c) vs. Rob Van Dam

Kirsty:
No way, no day. Van Dam's going down.
Winner: Bobby Roode

Luke:
RVD is a former champion himself and will give the champ a run for his money but I think that Roode will do whatever it takes in order to keep the gold in his possession.
Winner: Bobby Roode

Dion:
Roode seems comfortable in his role as World Heavyweight Champion - and I just don't see anyone knocking him off his pedestal just yet. RVD will come close, but Roode will retain.
Winner: Bobby Roode

Steph:
If anyone can take Bobby's belt away, it's RVD. Please?
Winner: Rob Van Dam

Scott:
What a joke. Does Van Dam really believe that he can take the title Roode's done so much to retain? What's RVD been smoking?
Winner: Bobby Roode

Stevie:
Haha, yeah right.
Winner: Bobby Roode

Blake:
The It Factor of professional wrestling is facing somebody who will soon be known as a has-been. I love RVD, but come on.
Winner: Bobby Roode

David:
If he made it through James Storm, I don't see Roode having trouble with RVD.
Winner: Bobby Roode

TNA Tag Team Championship:
Magnus & Samoa Joe (c) vs. Daniels & Kazarian

Kirsty:
I think this will be one of Magnus and Joe's greater threats, but they'll retain nonetheless.
Winners: Magnus & Samoa Joe

Luke:
Magnus and Joe have had a great run since winning the straps but I think Daniels and Kaz will get away with the gold.
Winners: Daniels & Kazarian

Dion:
Magnus & Joe are simply a great tag team. I think they'll muscle through Daniels & Kazarian.
Winners: Magnus & Samoa Joe

Steph:
The bizarre, unpredictable chemistry between Magnus and Joe is not going to be broken by two bald dudes who are more focused on stalking AJ Styles than actually wrestling.
Winners: Magnus & Samoa Joe

Scott:
I think Daniels and Kazarian may've been pulling the wool over some people's eyes - they're focused on these titles, despite appearances. Magnus and Joe better be taking them seriously, because if they're not the titles are going to change hands.
Winners: Daniels & Kazarian

Stevie:
This should be a pretty cool match, I'm looking forward to seeing how their styles clash. I don't think they have the ability to take down the dominant champs though.
Winners: Magnus & Samoa Joe

Blake:
Pfffft, Daniels should be fighting in the X-Division while Kaz should be teaming with AJ. Ah well, Magnus and Joe are on an unstoppable roll.
Winners: Magnus & Samoa Joe

David:
If they made it through Crimson and Matt Morgan, I don't see the champs having trouble with Daniels and Kazarian.
Winners: Magnus & Samoa Joe

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle

Kirsty:
Really looking forward to this one - Styles is one of the best equipped to give Angle a run for his money.
Winner: AJ Styles

Luke:
This should be the match of the night! AJ Styles and Angle have had great matches in the past and this will be no different. I'm hoping that AJ can overcome the Olympic hero, but it won't be easy.
Winner: AJ Styles

Dion:
I'm looking forward to this one - it should be a tremendous bout. But in an Olympic year, who would bet against Kurt Angle?
Winner: Kurt Angle

Steph:
I think Kurt's just getting a little wild-eyed, and AJ's going to keep it together and take him down.
Winner: AJ Styles

Scott:
I think we've seen the best of Angle this year in his battles against Hardy. AJ's a step above.
Winner: AJ Styles

Stevie:
This has a lot of potential, hopefully not overshadowed by AJ's secret. But it'll be on his mind and you always need to have your wits about you when taking on the Olympic gold medallist.
Winner: Kurt Angle

Blake:
This will be the match of the night, I'm calling it now... like anybody with half a brain would know. Anyways, we know Angle is always willing to put the young guys over, so it should be no surprise;
Winner: AJ Styles

David:
If I was picking who had the better theme song this would be a lot harder, but in a one-on-one match I think Styles has the edge, just.
Winner: AJ Styles

Jeff Hardy vs. Mr Anderson

Kirsty:
Another that has match of the night potential, and fairly evenly matched. I think it means more to Hardy though.
Winner: Jeff Hardy

Luke:
Not too worried about this one but I think Hardy will walk out the victor.
Winner: Jeff Hardy

Dion:
This should be another interesting matchup that will have major repercussions around the world title picture. I'm picking Anderson.
Winner: Mr Anderson

Steph:
Possible match-of-the-night contender here. I'll be happy with either winning as long as it's a good long match, but my vote is swayed by the best ring entrance in wrestling.
Winner: Mr Anderson

Scott:
Two former golden boys, but I don't understand what either has to gain from this battle. I guess who wants it most will win it, and Hardy's always got his fans to play for.
Winner: Jeff Hardy

Stevie:
This should be interesting. It's a hard one to call but I'm putting my money on the @$$hole.
Winner: Mr Anderson

Blake:
Should I care about this match? It's just two men stuck in a rut.
Winner: Jeff Hardy

David:
Even though Anderson didn't mean to do it, Hardy probably wants to pay him back for that Mic Check a few weeks ago.
Winner: Jeff Hardy

Austin Aries vs. Bully Ray

Kirsty:
I loved their verbal brawl in the ring last week. And boy do I want to see Aries slap the taste out of Bully Ray's mouth - as the man himself said.
Winner: Austin Aries

Luke:
Austin Aries is without a doubt the greatest thing on Impact Wrestling right now. I hope his streak of luck continues and he puts that Bully in his place.
Winner: Austin Aries

Dion:
This is definitely a big step up for the X-Division Champ. But I'm sure we'll see A Double make that step without a problem. But I don't think he'll topple the Bully.
Winner: Bully Ray

Steph:
Even if I didn't normally root for the underdog, what's not to love about Austin Aries?
Winner: Austin Aries

Scott:
Austin Aries is awesome. But Bully Ray is in the best shape and best mental attitude of his career. Aries is going to be massacred.
Winner: Bully Ray

Stevie:
I'm looking forward to this one, should be a cracker of a match. How can you bet against the Greatest Man That Ever Lived though?
Winner: Austin Aries

Blake:
Austin Aries is a heel, Bully Ray is a tag team wrestler, this is all wrong. However, this should provide an interesting match. I've got a gut feeling about this one;
Winner: Bully Ray

David:
Be A Star, Austin Aries, and stand up to that Bully!
Winner: Austin Aries

Knockouts Championship:
Gail Kim (c) vs. Brooke Tessmacher

Kirsty:
I think Gail's got this one pretty well sewn up, but not before Brooke gives her something to think about.
Winner: Gail Kim

Luke:
Brooke will put up a fight but I think Gail will show her who's boss.
Winner: Gail Kim

Dion:
I'm really enjoying the Knockouts Division at the moment - but I just don't see anyone taking Gail Kim out.
Winner: Gail Kim

Steph:
Brooke is a feisty little firecracker, but I don't think she has the experience to take Gail's belt away.
Winner: Gail Kim

Scott:
Kim's held the title for a while, but I think Tessmacher's passion should finally see her rewarded with a bit of bling for her waist.
Winner: Brooke Tessmacher

Stevie:
Gail is far too dominant and Brooke has too much ring rust to be trying this so soon.
Winner: Gail Kim

Blake:
Really? Really? Really? You don't need to be the greatest mind in professional wrestling (not Hornswoggle) to know where this one is going.
Winner: Gail Kim

David:
Brooke's on one hell of a roll - she's got as good a chance as anyone at taking the title off Gail Kim.
Winner: Brooke Tessmacher

Staff Picks Summary:
Bobby Roode: 7
Rob Van Dam: 1

Daniels & Kazarian: 2
Magnus & Samoa Joe: 6

AJ Styles: 6
Kurt Angle: 2

Jeff Hardy: 5
Mr Anderson: 3
