NXT’s main event was a huge six-man tag team contest, with Michael McGillicutty teaming with Hunico and Camacho to face the explosive trio of Tyson Kidd, Seth Rollins and Bo Dallas. And the up-and-coming stars continued to make their debuts, with Sofia Cortez, Kassius Ohno and the tag team of Jake Carter and Corey Graves reaping success on their first appearances on the show. Part way through NXT Seth Rollins faced Camacho in singles action, and Rollins used his explosive speed to pick up the victory over his bigger, stronger opponent. But Camacho's tag team partner Hunico, who had lurked outside of the ring throughout the match, attacked Rollins immediately the bell sounded, and together the two Mexican hoodlums began to lay in hard punches and kicks until Bo Dallas rushed out to the ring to drive them away. The feud carried on to NXT's main event, when Dallas and Rollins teamed with Tyson Kidd to face Hunico, Camacho and Michael McGillicutty in a six-man tag team contest. Dallas and McGillicutty were the first men in the ring, but McGillicutty called for his old rival, Tyson Kidd, to tag in; but when Dallas tagged in his Canadian partner McGillicutty just smirked and made his own tag to Hunico. A quick hurricanrana put Kidd in control of the match, and a series of quick tags between Kidd, Rollins and Dallas allowed them to work over Hunico until Camacho was able to provide a distraction, allowing Hunico to escape to tag in his bigger tag team partner. Camacho then downed Rollins with a body slam, and together Hunico and Camacho attempted to isolate Rollins in their corner of the ring, but the athletic Rollins was able to use his speed to escape, tagging in Dallas. But Dallas in turn found himself out-powered by the thuggish Mexicans, and Dallas spent the next few minutes suffering as McGillicutty, Camacho and Hunico quickly tagged in and out, working him down in their corner of the ring. Dallas was starting to show the strain when McGillicutty decided to bring the match to a close, first turning to knock Dallas' tag team partners off the ring apron. He managed to knock Rollins down with a high elbow, but Kidd ducked, and behind McGillicutty's back Rollins had slide across the ring to make the tag. Kidd immediately swung a roundhouse kick into the side of McGillicutty's face before running across the ring to knock both Camacho and Hunico off the ring apron with a double kick. The battle then fell into chaos, with men battling in and out of the ring, until eventually Rollins launched himself off the turnbuckle with a high cross body onto Camacho, Hunico and even his partner, Dallas, as they battled outside of the ring. Back in the ring McGillicutty drove his boot hard into Kidd's thigh, causing the Canadian to yelp with pain, and McGillicutty called for his finisher. And as Camacho and Hunico held back Rollins and Dallas to prevent them returning to aid their partner, McGillicutty struck with his running neckbreaker, the McGillicutter, to earn the victory. NXT kicked off with women's action, as former Tough Enough contestant Sofia Cortez facing dark-haired, pale-skinned English wrestler Paige. Paige found herself frustrated by Cortez's fast-paced offense, quickly rolling out of the ring to clear her head after suffering a hurricanrana, while the fiery Cortez argued with the referee. Back in the ring Paige returned to battle, only to suffer a series of sharp kicks from Cortez. Paige battled on, refusing to go down despite being clearly stunned from a hard kick to the sound of her head, but Cortez seized her opportunity to strike with her finishing move, where she grabbed Paige with her strong legs in a wheelbarrow lift, bringing her down hard into a DDT with her momentum. In other NXT action the handsome, egotistical team of Jack Carter and Corey Graves made their debut, and in barely the time that Jim Ross took to explain that the huge Carter was the son of Big Van Vader the pairing of Carter and Graves had made quick work of their opponents. Also as successful was another debutant, the tall, lanky and muscular Kassius Ohno, who lived up to his initials by delivering an effective KO elbow strike to his opponent, the Lance Strom-trained Mike Dalton. Jinder Mahal and Derrick Bateman also battled on NXT, and the arrogant Indian managed to survive Bateman's innovative offence to lock on the Camel Clutch. Mahal wasn't satisfied with the submission victory, however, and after the bell locked his fearsome submission move back on, leaving Bateman limp once the officials had finally managed to drag him away.
