NZPWI Roundtable: Hardcore Justice
Written by NZPWI Roundtable

TNA Hardcore Justice is less than one day away, with 12 men competing in three hardcore matches over one brutal night.

AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe compete in a ladder match that will see the winner take home 20 points in the Bound For Glory series.

Bully Ray, James Storm, Jeff Hardy and Robbie E try to drive one another through a table and pick up 20 BFG series points of their own.

Also for 20 Bound For Glory series points, "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero, Magnus, Mr Anderson and Rob Van Dam compete with falls counting anywhere in the building.

Who will survive one of TNA's most brutal pay-per-view events? Join the NZPWI Roundtable as we break down the card for Hardcore Justice.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship:
Austin Aries (c) vs. Bobby Roode

Kirsty:
I have to say I'm not sure that Aries can hold onto the title in this match. Roode's mad as hell that it got away from him and he'll stop at nothing to get it back.
Winner: Bobby Roode

Blake:
Aries just won, he's on a roll, and Roode is on the downslide.
Winner: Austin Aries

Scott:
That Aries is champion still surprises me. And I really am rooting for him, but I just think he's going to lose the title sooner rather than later. I'll be cheering for Aries, especially if he wins, but in terms of production my head says "Roode"
Winner: Bobby Roode

Stevie:
It's a tough one. Roode is obsessed with getting his belt back but Aries seems unstoppable. I'm going to stick with the Greatest Man That Ever Lived.
Winner: Austin Aries

David:
Aries sure was confident, forfeiting his rematch clause should he lose. I really hope he doesn't lose, but Roode spent so much of 2012 swindling people out of the title that he's gotten rather good at it. Aries is getting screwed.
Winner: Bobby Roode

Bound For Glory Series, Ladder Match:
AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe

Kirsty:
We're looking at a definite Match of the Night contender here, and I think the Phenomenal One has got the edge.
Winner: AJ Styles

Blake:
This is a match designed for the likes of Styles and Daniels, but Angle has the statistical advantage in terms of wins. Styles has the experience factor having 10 ladder matches, but only winning two. Joe has only been in one ladder match which he lost. Daniels has never been in a big-league ladder match. Statistics are too small for any factors to play a major role here, so I think Joe is going to win this. He's got everything he needs and he's hungry for success.
Winner: Samoa Joe

Scott:
Ooooh, this should be fun. But I'm going with who is surely both the sentimental and odds-on favourite.
Winner: AJ Styles

Stevie:
This should be a cracker of a match. I'd love it if Joe managed to pick up the win but I reckon AJ will take it.
Winner: AJ Styles

David:
After looking at Blake's statistical breakdown, and talking to the man last week, I'm firmly on the side of AJ Styles.
Winner: AJ Styles

Bound For Glory Series, Tables Match:
Bully Ray vs. James Storm vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Robbie E

Kirsty:
Storm has taken control of the Bound For Glory series, and I can't see him stopping now.
Winner: James Storm

Blake:
This match is between Hardy and, of course, Ray. Robbie E has no chance and Storm is simply not as experienced as the other two. When it comes down to it, I think Ray is going to win and start working his way up the BFG ladder.
Winner: Bully Ray

Scott:
Bully Ray might have the, um, wood on his competition here, but I'm backing the cowboy.
Winner: James Storm

Stevie:
Sorry about your damn luck, everybody who isn't James Storm.
Winner: James Storm

David:
Storm's just untouchable in this series. Good luck putting him through a table.
Winner: James Storm

Bound For Glory Series, Falls Count Anywhere:
"The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero vs. Magnus vs. Mr Anderson vs. Rob Van Dam

Kirsty:
This is the kind of match that often suits Mr Anderson - I think we'll see him take this one out.
Winner: Mr Anderson

Blake:
Dinero's still alive? Well that's nice. Why weren't any of these fantastic athletes on the last episode of Impact? These are incredible wrestlers who need air time. This is why TNA won't reach WWE. Anyway, RVD has the experience in hardcore wrestling.
Winner: Rob Van Dam

Scott:
I might be one of the only fans The Pope has left, but, damnit, one day the guy's going to get a break.
Winner: "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero

Stevie:
Hard one to call. I do see a Mic Check in someone's future though.
Winner: Mr Anderson

David:
It's a two horse race (Anderson and Van Dam) for my money. Could go either way, but I'll take RVD thanks to his ECW past.
Winner: Rob Van Dam

X-Division Championship:
Zema Ion (c) vs. Kenny King

Kirsty
Zema's been looking better and better ever since he got the strap, and he'll continue to show why in this match.
Winner: Zema Ion

Blake:
Loving Kenny King at the moment. He's got the makings of a future X-Division Champion... future Champion. Ion will be holding onto the belt for some time to come.
Winner: Zema Ion

Scott:
Zema Ion just looks too good at the moment. The kid's on a hell of a roll.
Winner: Zema Ion

Stevie:
Should be fun. King is all kinds of brilliant but I don't think Ion has shown us his best yet - King might get a first-hand look at it, should he push Ion too far.
Winner: Zema Ion

David:
I want it to be Kenny King leaving with the win, but I just don't see it happening.
Winner: Zema Ion

Knockouts Championship:
Miss Tessmacher (c) vs. Madison Rayne

Kirsty:
I think that if anyone is going to knock the champ off her perch, Rayne might just be the one to do it.
Winner: Madison Rayne

Blake:
Tessmacher should not be Knockouts Champ; she won by a fluke! Rayne should not be the contender; Tara was robbed! The only winner here is the camera man, and that's as long as he keeps off of their faces.
Winner: Madison Rayne

Scott:
Hey, remember when TNA's Knockouts was all about great wrestling? It wasn't long ago, was it, but now...
Winner: Miss Tessmacher

Stevie:
Don't mess with Tess.
Winner: Miss Tessmacher

David:
I'm worried about Earl Hebner. But so was Miss Tessmacher when I spoke to her on Thursday, so she knows what she's getting into.
Winner: Miss Tessmacher

Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez vs. Gunner & Kid Kash

Kirsty:
Chavo! It's great to see him back on our screens. I think he and Hernandez have got this one.
Winners: Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez

Blake:
Man it's good to see Chavito back, and I'm loving this high-flying, muscle-bound, techni-tag team with Hernandez. However, Gunner and Kash? Where did that come from? Whatever, experience wins here.
Winners: Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez

Scott:
Good to see the cruiserweight veterans back in the spotlight. I've always had a soft spot for Chavito, so even though I don't think he and Hernandez can be called favourites, they're who I'm backing.
Winners: Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez

Stevie:
Good to see Chavo and Hernandez getting some airtime again. They've got to make a statement that they shouldn't be overlooked any more.
Winners: Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez

David:
I don't think there is a single person on the face of the planet who's rooting for Gunner and Kash.
Winners: Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez
