Impact Pro Wrestling has provided an update on the condition of IPW New Zealand Women's Champion Evie, who was viciously assaulted by Megan-Kate and Britenay prior to her title defence against Olivia Shaw Saturday night at IPW Unleashed. According to the IPW Facebook page, Evie has suffered a patella tendon tear; although the exact severity of the injury will not be known until the results of an ultrasound are returned later this week. Evie - who also currently holds the PWWA Interim Championship - had to be carried from the ringside area in tears following the attack, in which her knee was struck several times with Megan-Kate's baseball bat. What this injury means for the future of the IPW New Zealand Women's Championship is currently unclear, but NZPWI will bring you updates on this evolving story as they come to light. |
