Alberto had hoped to face off with Jack Swagger ahead of their scheduled WrestleMania clash but was told SmackDown General Manager Booker T had other plans. Swagger and his manager, Zeb Colter, watched from the stage as Barrett and Del Rio began their main event bout, which the World Heavyweight Champion was soon in control of. Del Rio made the mistake of moving the action outside of the ring and paid the price when Barrett whipped him against the steel steps. A pumphandle slam on the inside ensured it would be Barrett, now, who would dictate the pace. The World Heavyweight Champion wiped the slate clean with a missile dropkick that left both men down for a moment. When they returned to their feet, Del Rio nailed Barrett with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and rushed at the Intercontinental Champion only to be dropped with a Black Hole Slam. Alberto avoided Barrett's wasteland though and answered with a lungblower. Del Rio signalled for his signature armbar but Jack Swagger rushed down the ramp to draw the champ's attention away from the match and allow Barrett to catch Del Rio with a schoolboy roll-up. The World Heavyweight Champion kicked out of the hasty cover and ducked under a Bullhammer Elbow from Barrett to take him down and lock in the armbar for a submission win. While Swagger was unable to sabotage Del Rio's night, he was successful in his own match earlier in the evening. Randy Orton told Booker T he wanted Swagger one-on-one after being the last man eliminated in Monday's Elimination Chamber match at the hands of the All-American American. The action swung back and forth between Orton and Swagger before Orton dropped the number one contender with his inverted backbreaker and brought Swagger off the apron, back to the ring, with an elevated DDT. Orton began to line Swagger up for the RKO, but the All-American American knew what was coming and gouged Orton's eyes before a hasty rollup secured the victory. SmackDown Results:
