Don’t make Big Show angry; you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry. But angry he is, and the World’s Largest Athlete turned up on WWE Main Event to vent that anger against any and all comers. Yet after defeating four other men with what could almost be called ease, an unlikely threat emerged to give Big Show something to think about.
It was an enraged Big Show who stomped down to the ring,
cutting his own ring entrance short to grab a microphone and bellow his anger
about the outcome of the World Heavyweight Championship match at Elimination, not to mention the words
and deeds of everyone from the commentators, the backstage crew, Booker T and,
indeed, the entire SmackDown roster. Shouting that he had enough of
being made to look a fool each and every time he stepped foot between the ropes
Show dared Booker T to send anyone he could from backstage down to the ring to
test themselves against the angry giant. |

Project Mayhem reached breaking point this past Saturday
with a loss to Kingi and Travis Banks in the main event of NZWPW Proving Grounds.
It was obvious, even before the match began, Idol and Shaw
were not going to be a cohesive unit. Shaw insisted on entering the ring to his
own theme music, and Idol chose to wrestle in trunks which did not match his
partner.
Banks and Kingi, meanwhile, showed a level of teamwork
usually reserved for tandems with far more experience together, and certainly
did not resemble men who had wrestled one another for the IPW Championship just
one week earlier.
Banks began the Proving
Grounds main event firmly in control of Project Mayhem (who considered
leaving Wainuiomata and going home instead of facing the Peak of Perfection)
and demonstrated some of the skills he had picked up while in Japan's Pro
Wrestling Zero1. |

After the sudden, disastrous ending of the previous week’s IMPACT, it was no surprise to see General Manager Hulk Hogan out in the ring to kick things off. After the Aces and 8s gave him another week to think about who should face Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Championship, the Hulkster’s mind was made up, and the lucky man was …
Bully Ray!
Bully entered, looking just as surprised as anyone else, and promised he’d make Hulk proud. To top it off, he suggested a blockbuster of a main event for the night: three members of the Aces and 8s against a tag team of Bully, Sting – and Hulk. |

With Elimination Chamber in the rear view mirror The Rock’s sights are set on WrestleMania and John Cena. But if The Rock and Cena thought they’d put CM Punk behind them, the Straightedge Superstar had other ideas, calling John Cena out and goading him to put his number one contendership on the line in a match. And, as The Rock unveiled a new WWE Championship at the conclusion of the show, CM Punk made it clear to The Rock that his eyes are still firmly set on the title.
John Cena kicked off RAW with a smile, but he'd barely begun to tell the fans about what was next on the
Road to WrestleMania before he was
interrupted by former WWE Champion CM Punk, who came down to the ring
accompanied as always by Paul Heyman.
Cena didn't deserve the title show, spat a riled up Punk,
having taken the easy route by coming in at number twenty five in the Royal
Rumble and throwing over the ropes "a couple of ham and eggers." "John Cena
versus The Rock is déjà vu, I've already seen that television show" spat Punk
at Cena. "It's a rerun, and I know how it ends - The Rock beats John Cena. You
can't win the big one, John!" |
