New Zealand’s Slade Mercer returns to Australia after two years in the United Kingdom and will make his Victorian debut tonight at MCW’s aptly-named New Horizons event.
His opponent has yet to be announced.
Mercer, now residing in Melbourne, was welcomed back to the Australian wrestling scene with a loss to Australian Wolf at AWA Grindhouse Wrestling 2.5 in Queensland last week.
The Taranaki native will be looking to make an impact in his MCW debut and take out whoever is put in front of him in Melbourne’s Tullamarine Public Hall tonight.
Also at MCW New Horizons, New Zealand-born Toni Storm has an opportunity to claim the RCW Women’s Championship.
Storm wrestles Siren Monroe in a bonus New Horizons pre-show, with the winner of the match (and the winner of Miki Fortune vs. Savannah Summers) advancing to wrestle RCW Women’s Champion Demi Bennett in a triple threat for the title.
Carlo “Cash Money” Cannon will defend the MCW Championship against Elliot Sexton in the New Horizons main event.
