WWE Clash of Champions has a unique main event.
As announced on Raw, Braun Strowman will challenge Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina – meaning the Raw Tag Team Champions will defend their titles and battle over the Universal Championship on the same night.
“It’s not going to be any fun for me but I don’t back down from a fight,” Rollins told Strowman.
“Challenge accepted. You’re on, partner.”
Rollins and Strowman won the tag team titles from Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows one week ago. With automatic rematches abolished, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode have become the number one contenders to the Raw Tag Team Championship. Roode and Ziggler will challenge Stroman and Rollins for the titles at Clash of Champions.
“This team didn’t come together on a whim, this is destiny,” Roode said.
“At Clash of Champions we’re going to become the next Raw Tag Team Champions, and it’ll be absolutely glorious.”
WWE Clash of Champions airs live Monday, September 16 on Sky Arena and WWE Network.
