It’s official: Shayna Baszler will challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship.
Baszler obliterated all five of her opponents inside the Elimination Chamber to advance to a WrestleMania showdown with The Man.
The Queen of Spades warned the WWE Universe this match would be hers for the taking in the lead-up to Elimination Chamber 2020.
“I’m a cage fighter. The Elimination Chamber is held in a cage. I’m going to chew through every other competitor,” she said.
In front of 14,853 people inside Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, Baszler made good on her promise.
Natalya and Ruby Riott started the Elimination Chamber main event before Sarah Logan joined the contest. Things changed drastically once Shayna Baszler was released from her pod.
In the space of one minute, Baszler forced both Logan and Riott to submit to the Kirifuda Clutch. The Queen of Spades then turned her attention to Natalya. Baszler battered Natalya against the side of a pod, only letting up to apply the Kirifuda Clutch again for her third-straight elimination.
Liv Morgan was the next to feel Baszler’s wrath. Baszler forced Morgan to pass out in the Kirifuda Clutch – sending a clear message to Asuka.
When the final pod door opened, Baszler and Asuka threw down as only they could. Asuka provided Baszler with the most resistance yet and took Baszler to the mat for the Asuka Lock, but Baszler targetted Asuka’s injured wrist to break out of the submission.
Baszler rocked The Empress of Tomorrow with a knee before locking in a final Kirifuda Clutch to prove she was indeed ready for Asuka – and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania.
