“In order for a phoenix to rise from its ashes, it must first burn,” so says Rugged Vic Craig ahead of his title defence against Phoenix Tallion.
Craig defends the Maniacs United Championship against the man voted Best Rookie in the 2021 NZPWI People’s Choice Awards this Saturday, March 5.
Craig has vowed to bring death to New Zealand wrestling since toppling Evan Crowe for his championship last year, and looks to make Tallion the next victim in his violent crusade.
Tallion, for his part, remains undeterred as he heads into the most high-profile match of his still-young career. His response to Craig: “You call me out, you can even call me by my real name, but at the end of the night you will call me champion!”
It remains to be seen who will have his hand raised but one thing seems for sure, this match will bring out the best in both men.
