WWE will return to New Zealand this December after more than nine years away from the country.
Auckland’s Spark Arena will host a New Zealand Live Tour on Thursday, December 17, WWE announced today.
The New Zealand event will conclude a busy week for WWE that also includes live events in Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as SmackDown, Wrestlepalooza, and Raw in Perth.
December’s event will be the first held by WWE in New Zealand since 2017, when Roman Reigns battled Braun Strowman in a Street Fight at Horncastle Arena in Christchurch. WWE hasn’t held an event in Auckland since 2016, when Reigns and Seth Rollins headlined WWE Live.
A 2020 return was postponed before ultimately being cancelled in the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tickets for this year’s WWE New Zealand Live Tour go on sale this Thursday, October 15. Fans can register for pre-sale access from Wednesday, October 14, at this link: wwe.com/live-tour-december
