New Zealand’s own Cruz and Dallas Mead have picked up two major titles in WCW Australia.
Dallas Mead, the former Auckland Warrior, captured the WCWA Heavyweight Championship by defeating Jethro in a two-out-of-three falls contest on August 18. Dallas captured the first fall after a Gorilla Press, lost the second via Jethro’s “Old Timer”, but Dallas sealed the win in the third fall via a running powerslam.
This is the first championship that Mead has won since entering WCWA.
Cruz recaptured the WCWA Cruiserweight Championship from BJ Blade last night (September 5) in Southport, Gold Coast. Cruz picked up the win with a small package pin soon after both wrestlers had unsuccessful pin attempts after nailing their respective finishing moves.
Congratulations to both men, who continue to fly the flag for us in Australia.
