New Zealand’s own Dallas Mead lost the WCWA Heavyweight Championship to Jethro last night at WCWA’s latest card, Major Impact. Mead captured the title from Jethro in August 2002, but last night saw his five month reign come to an end.

Also at Major Impact, fellow Kiwi Cruz drew with BJ Blade in the WCWA Cruiserweight Championship TLC match. Late in the match, Cruz’s valet, “Super Coach” Jas the Ace, placed Blade on a table, with Cruz hitting a legdrop from the top of a ladder through the table. Blade and Cruz both climbed the ladder to claim the belt, but both took the belt at the same time. WCWA Commissioner Lara Love has declared the title vacant.

Also on the show, Dominic Bianco and the Mauler defeated Hawk (NZ) and the Lebanese Butcher to capture the ARPW Tag Team Championship, The Monk defeated Sweet Ass (NZ), New Blood defeated Carnival of Darkness, Garbage Inc. and Shock Therapy (NZ) in a four corner tag team elimination match and Steve Corino pinned CW Anderson after a Van Daminator-style superkick.
