Dakota Kai has become the first New Zealander to enter a Royal Rumble in 25 years.
Kai entered the 30-Woman Royal Rumble at No. 15 earlier today in front of a record-setting crowd of 42,715 at Houston’s Minute Maid Park.
Bushwhackers Luke and Butch were the last New Zealanders to enter a Royal Rumble in 1995. Both were eliminated in a matter of seconds by eventual winner Shawn Michaels.
Kai outlasted the Bushwhackers’ times, but not by much.
The Captain of Team Kick hastily tried to eliminate Dana Brooke from the Royal Rumble. Unfortunately, Chelsea Green (No. 16) tipped Kai over the top rope to cut her WrestleMania dreams short.

Toni Storm also made her Royal Rumble debut as No. 20 in the match eventually won by Charlotte Flair.
New Zealand-born Storm was eliminated by Shayna Baszler.
“Mum would never let me take the day off school to watch the Royal Rumble,” Storm tweeted. “Looks like she didn’t have to.”
