Impact Wrestling’s Eric Young has a message for Prime News’ Eric Young: change your name!
The Impact Wrestling World Champion defends his title against Rich Swann at Bound For Glory and doesn’t want any praise accidentally going to our newsreader.
“I don’t know how long he’s been @RealEricYoung [on Twitter] but I’ve been Eric Young for a long, long time,” Young told NZPWI.
“I understand he’s in New Zealand but I’m a world traveller and he should probably change his name.”
“There is also some baseball players, Eric Young Jr and Eric Young Sr for the United States – I think they played for the Colorado Rockies – but if you Google ‘Eric Young’ I’m the first picture that comes up so I’m the real one, you are not.”
EY returned turned to Impact Wrestling in July of this year and won the World Championship in September.
I think it only fair to point out that the new #impactwrestling world champion is a whole other Eric Young. I can totally understand the confusion though eh?

Young attacked Rich Swann with a chair en route to winning the world title – meaning things will be personal at Bound For Glory.
Swann expects to dethrone Young on the biggest pay-per-view of the Impact Wrestling calendar, and has a request for New Zealand’s Eric Young once he claims the title.
“If your Eric Young gets any of those messages from those fans saying, ‘Oh, I’m sorry that you lost your Impact Championship at Bound For Glory…’ please tell him to forward that to this Eric Young of Impact.”
Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory streams live Sunday, October 25, on FITE
