WWE Championship:
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Randy Orton w/ Pat McAfee

Grady Hooker (75% accurate for 2026):
Let’s just go ahead and take McAfee and Jelly out of the equation—bam, they are a non-factor. The fact is Randy Orton is listening to the voices in his head and Cody Rhdoes is getting his head punted.
Winner: Randy Orton

Steve McCleary (63% accurate for 2026):
I’m expecting a lot of controversy. We already know that Cody was in a mirror image of this situation last year, with an ageing legend wanting a record title win while being aided by a celebrity. Except McAfee is a lot more dangerous and smarter than Travis Scott. The odds aren’t in Cody’s favour this year (again) and it’ll have the same outcome.
Winner: Randy Orton

David Dunn (50% accurate for 2026):
Steve’s right, we’ve seen Cody Rhodes come unglued in a similar situation to this. Add the confidence of Pat McAfee to vow he’ll walk away from WWE if Orton doesn’t get it done… how could you not back The Viper?
Winner: Randy Orton

Sammy G (50% accurate for 2026):
Removing McAfee from the equation entirely, it’s about time that Randy was back in the WrestleMania main event! Randy and Cody’s history is well documented as both friends and rivals. Cody wanted “the best version” of The Viper, so with the more matured and concentrated venom running in his veins, this is a classic case of ‘be careful what you wish for,’ Cody!
Winner: Randy Orton

AJ Murtagh (38% accurate for 2026):
With all the controversy surrounding Pat McAfee, I feel there’s a risk Cody Rhodes may be sleeping on Orton and the threat he poses. I have a feeling we are looking at number 15 for the Legend Killer.
Winner: Randy Orton

NZPWI Roundtable: WWE WrestleMania 42, Day 2

World Heavyweight Championship:
CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns

Grady:
I have one rule: never bet against Roman Reigns. Would I rather Punk win? Yes. But he’s going against Roman Reigns…
Winner: Roman Reigns

Steve:
I hate this. I hate that Roman looks likely to begin another reign of terror, holding the title hostage. The only hope I have is that if we do live in that timeline, then we also live in the one where Oba dethrones him later this year at SummerSlam.
Winner: Roman Reigns

David:
CM Punk finally gets his WrestleMania headliner—but might live to regret it. The way Punk took such exception to being called “old” tells me there’s more truth to the label than Punk would like to admit. Can he turn it on one last time on the main event? I don’t know…
Winner: Roman Reigns

Sammy:
Whilst things didn’t go to plan last year with Paul Heyman assisting Seth Rollins to pick up a victory over both Reigns and Punk, those two factors are out of the picture. All remaining roads have eventually lead the OTC and the Voice of the Voiceles to finally collide one-on-one on the Grandest Stage of Them All! With nobody to distract him, this will be Punk’s WrestleMania moment.
Winner: CM Punk

AJ:
Roman Reigns wants to win this match. CM Punk needs to win this match. In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 42, we have seen a fire in Punk that, in my opinion, we haven’t seen from Reigns. I just feel in my gut that Punk has this.
Winner: CM Punk
