In a shocking end to an incredible night’s entertainment, IPW Champion Lyte Playa was cheated out of his IPW Championship in the main event of IPW Rival Turf, which took place Saturday evening from Pt Chevalier.
Playa put his title on the line against Mason Childs’ WCWA Cruiserweight Championship and appeared to have the match well in hand until “Super Coach” Jase the Ace distracted referee Leighton Cox, giving WCWA Champion Cruz and Davey Deluxeo the opportunity to ‘Pearl Harbour’ Playa.
Childs made the cover for the victory, and immediately awarded the Championship belt to Deluxeo as the stipulation of the match stated that the winner could “do whatever they like” with the title.
Rival Turf ended with Lyte Playa and WCWA owner Hawk both promising revenge as IPW vowed to invade WCWA for payback.
Other results on the show saw Cruz defend the WCWA Heavyweight Championship against The Machine in a brutal match-up, Violent Bill and Bob defend the WCWA Tag Team Championship against XS, and Daddy Kool defeat Sweet Ass.
