Could WrestleMania XL go down as the biggest WrestleMania of all time?
Dion McCracken spoke to SENZ Radio live from Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center earlier today ahead of SmackDown and the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
“What’s interesting is WWE are calling this the biggest WrestleMania of all time and for a company that is built on moments, for them to say this is the biggest, it’s not just a tag-line,” McCracken said.
“This company is on the crest of a wave now. Something really special is happening now under Triple H, the Chief Content Officer of WWE. I’m telling you, they’re saying that this is the beginning of something big, and you can feel it in the city, the vibe is much much different to all the other times I’ve been to WrestleMania.
“Something special is happening here and it’s really exciting to be a part of. If you’re not on board – if you were a fan – I urge you get on board. We’re going to see some really fantastic television, some incredible in-ring action, not just over this weekend but I think in the months and years to come.”
McCracken isn’t the only Kiwi in Philadelphia. As well as the numerous fans who’ve made the pilgrimage to Lincoln Financial Field, New Zealand’s Dakota Kai is also in town, ready for her WrestleMania return.
“This is a cutthroat business,” McCracken told SENZ. “To get onto the main card of WrestleMania you’ve got to be the best of the best. There are only so many spots, and for Dakota Kai to get one in a six-woman tag team match, it’s absolutely outstanding … my heart goes with Dakota Kai and her team. Hopefully she can get the W for New Zealand.”
WWE WrestleMania XL streams live this Sunday, April 7, and Monday, April 8, from 11am NZST on Netflix and WWE Network.
